Hobbyist Woodworker
Great Product, my lungs love it
As a hobbyist woodworker, I don't yet have the means for a dedicated shop area; so my garage is my current 'shop'. I don't yet have a dust collection system, but many of the machines that I use produce heavy chip anyways, so I purchased this filter to get rid of all the nasty airborne dusts initially (yes, I realize this is a bit backwards from traditional wisdom, but my space and budgetary constraints made this the unconventional choice). At any rate, this is a great product. Installation to my ceiling was a snap...a couple of lag screws was all it took, and the filter has conveniently spaced it's mounting holes to the same standard dimension of roofing joists (16" O.C.). If I do something really dusty, all I need to do is turn the unit on high, go away for 5 minutes, and it's clean and clear when I walk back in. When I'm done in the shop, I just turn the fan on low and set a delay of 2 hours. The dust accumulation all around the garage has been significantly reduced, and my dust masks have been a bit cleaner too. All in all, a great product!
