Sailboat trunk cap
The project was a teak cap for a sailboat trunk. Wood was slightly curved but still manageable

Most Excellent
Better and larger than what I expected! Blemish free- asked for 8" and got 10' width making the project easier to do-( panel for radios, circuit breaker panel, auto-pilot control and spotlight control.
Familiarity: I've used it once or twice

Perfect Teak
Well packaged and arrived in great condition. Wood was size and quality as described. This teak was very nice, with few, if any, blemishes on the wood. Better quality than any Teak I've found previously.

4/4 teak board
ordered 4/4 teak board for odd project of installing a wood runner into a pair of vintage automobile roof racks. I got exactly what I asked for - and was very pleased with the length, width, straightness and grain of the board they sent. My only complaint (minor and my own fault I suspect) is that when ordering 4/4 lumber I expected (and needed) a full 1" thickness, and didn't need "finished" faces. I didn't expect the board to come S2S and only 13/16" in thickness.

Teak
Needed a small piece of teak to fabricate a support on a vintage Danish desk. Only source I was able to find to order a small piece. Easy to order, fair price, arrived in a reasonable amount of time, well packaged and looks like color is a close match. Loved the letter describing the efforts to pull and ship my order. Great experience! Would definitely order again from Woodworkerssource.com.

Perfect Teak
Beautiful material, perfectly color and grain matched in the lengths and widths I requested. There will be very little waste. Was the best price around, being on sale along with all exotics. Shipping (from Arizona to New York) was heavy-duty, but that is certainly not the fault of Woodworkers' Source.

Nice long boards, good widths, very straight grain with no twist.
The sizes were all very workable with lots of useable widths and lengths. I have purchased nearly 1,000 board feet of nearly 30 different species from Woodworkers source and I have NEVER been disappointed with even 1 board foot. Don't be worried Canadian woodworkers, these people know what they are doing with across-the-board shipping. I have received wood delivered to my doorstep cheaper than I can buy for in Regina (shipping included). Thanks Craig & Robert

Not one of my favorite woods
I only work with teak if I can't talk my customer into going with iroko or afromosia instead. Maybe ipe, depending on the job. Teak looks great and all but I just don't like how it dulls my blades pretty fast.

Love this lumber
I have bought 100+ bf of both 4/4 and 8/4 teak 3 times over the past couple of years to build outdoor furniture. This is the best quality teak I have found and it is so convenient to have the UPS driver deliver it to my door. Everything I have read says that teak is so much more difficult to work, but, I don't find it any more difficult to work than any other quality, dense hardwood, like white oak or hard maple. I guess if all you have ever worked with is pine, teak is more difficult to work. It does tend to gum up abrasives and wear down your sharp edges more quickly; and, you need to clean all joints with acetone before gluing. I also find it best to use epoxy (system 3 T-33 in the self-mixing applicator tubes) instead of polyurethane glue, only because it is easier to clean up.
