Everything came in timely and it was great quality. Made some chess boards that came out great.

The piece of wood met my expectations. I needed a longer piece than the standard of 12" I could find locally and was so glad to find just what I needed. Our rainy weather has not allowed the work to start yet but then again all of our shelter in place has kept us from the gathering to give the baton as a gift.

Very good quality. Almost completely flat/square so very little prep work was needed upon receipt. Will definitely order from these folks again!

just as I was expecting.

I ordered several pieces of wood, including 2 or 3 purpleheart turning squares. One arrived all chewed up and split. (One piece of maple was split but I could work around it.) I immediately contacted the seller and they send me a replacement piece. The replacement piece was badly burnt and "diveted" on two sides. I wrote the seller, saying don't bother sending me a replacement, but that I was very disappointed. You would think that when they were trying to do it right, at least then they'd get it right. So, I'm still looking for a place I can rely on. Woodworkers Source is not that place.

My first order for exotic wood

Beautiful piece of wood!

The material is as beautiful as in the advertised picture. the wood quality was excellent. I found the wood workable for what I was doing. The only issue I had was the grain or, actually the wood between the grains. Porosity worked against the overall finish of the final product. Also some of the fine detail on the image we were engraving broke away, not totally the fault of the wood. Just needed to be a very fine image. I did use heat to enhance the purple effect, something I had read on line. The wood was used for letter openers. I previously used Rosewood from Brazil with nicer results.

This is a beautiful wood, I've used it for cutting boards and some small furniture. dont' worry about the slight dullness when cut or sanded it finishes real nice
