Outstanding color and perfect for my project

Would have been perfect except when it arrived it had a 2 foot split down on end. Unfortunately that rendered those 2 ft unusable for this particular project was able to use the some but didn't end up having enough to finish the project

Bought this for a project that I'm just now working on. I haven't used the Padauk yet, but it came in perfect. I love the guys that pick the wood. I have never received a bad piece of wood. I had one side cut straight and it arrived perfect. I absolutely have nothing I can complain about.

I have not started building the instrument yet as I have other projects going on as well. I am assembling all the materials I need for the instrument, and, this particular piece of wood was purchased to add an extra feature and accent.

Turns very well. The only problem is that it bleeds color into lighter woods next to it if you're not careful.

Clear boards, good color, straight and jointed as ordered, fewer boards than I expected for random width. excellent product, excellent service.

Ordered 20 BF random widths and lengths. Got six boards of equal length and width. Clear as a bell. Jointed one edge. Perfect!

The wood rips and cross cut extremely wonderful. When Routing take your time the wood seem to tear out easy. Also be careful when sanding by hand it also lets go of splitters easily. It's an open grain wood shapes and sand quickly. The red saw dust remind me of red carpenters caulk. I made sure I did not get the saw dust wet for fear that it might leave a red stains. The wood is super nice to use as accents.

Superb cut of lumber. I spent the extra dollar something for a specific size and grain pattern.

Very timely shipping, carefully packaged, and I was thrilled to see that my requestor quarter-sawn wood was heeded. Excellent long lines along the length of all the padauk. Table saw broke down, so won't be able to post any pics/work on my tongue drums for a while.

I recently received my order and I loved the color of the wood. I have never worked with African Padauk before and I'm looking forward to it so much that I ordered some 8/4 African Padauk for some smaller sliding dovetailed boxes that I'm planning on doing.

Wood arrived in excellant shape. Have put together 1 & 1/2 drums. Sound is great. Have not yet tuned and apply finish. Will try to post picture when complete.

the color, grain, dimensions and quality of the product greatly exceeded my every expectation. I could not have hand picked such a nice bundle of boards. I will be making future purchases from Woodworkers Source. The staff was excellent to work with and the boards were carefully wrapped and shipped. I can't wait to make something, although the boards look too nice to cut:-)

Outstanding color

Although I have no idea how to pronounce the word, I sure am impressed with the board itself--as are those who have seen it. I've been waiting to have a "go" at it, and but for the lack of time--and having to help my wife clean out the garage--I would have already been tinkering with the board. It's time is coming. You guys are wonderful as per your selection & handling of my requests. I'm not able to give you as much business as I'd like, but when I do you ALWAYS come through! Well done, again!!!

The wood looks great but it wasn't dry enough and there was, and will continue to be some warping. Fortunately, the wood is for wood panels for the sides of some vintage stereo equipment and they'll be screwed near the four corners and therefor not continue to warp while drying.

Pictures really can't do this wood justice, it's color has to be viewed in person. Quick shipping, perfect lumber. 100% usable. I use this to make bows and these guys really jump through hoops to provide me with the size specifications I need. Highly recommend them to everyone.

Planed surfaces needed surface sanding which brings down the size to .750". The amount of work to accomplish this, even on the delta x5 surface sander, may make your pricing higher than the local lumber yard. The quality of the wood was very good. Only a few sections of the boards were unusable for facia areas.

I was worried at first because the online picture are not what I expect from Padauk. But what I got was perfect. A bright solid red to work perfectly with the Yellow heart (satinwood).

I needed a relatively small piece of padauk to finish a project. I explained what I needed and the staff at Woodworkers Source sent exactly what I needed. In the recent past, I have purchased quite a bit of wood from Woodworkers Source but in person not by mail. I am very pleased with the mail service and will use it again when the urgent need arises.

The planks were cut to appropriate sizes and even along the grains! The planks had little to no knots, so the planks were ready to be split and cut to size as soon as I pulled them off the truck. Thanks for the quality wood and cuts!

One of the nicest pieces of padauk that I've ever received. Great color, grain and nice and straight. This will mill well and look great in the projects that I will be making.

making a box and the 8" wide piece you sent me was perfect.

the wood is as advertised, very pretty. However, mine was really beat up. in fact it had been dropped so hard that there we rocks imbedded in the wood at points. the wood is hard enough that this would take some big-time impact. so much to for the velvet chariot! lots of edges really chewed up. i worked around most of it and my project is coming along, but I would have to think hard about the shipping issues if I were to do this again.
