Thought I would try making some knife handles out of this wood. Never used it before. I liked the pieces they sent me. Used 6 coats of GF armrseal and they look great. Very happy, might buy more.

When I ordered the Leopard wood turning spuares i was hoping for larger spots like the pictures that were on line, the spots are very small not very visible.

I would make sure to learn about the Grain in this wood because the direction you cut makes all the difference I look at this wood under a magnifying glass .It has strange Orange Lines running through it and you get the best effect if you cross cut through the grain you get in Long gated lines. Sanding was interesting you have to really pay attention what direction you sand

I bought this with specific plans on experimenting with the grain for a stringed instrument neck. I have yet to start.

The Leopardwood Furniture Squares: 2" x 2" x 30", are top quality, I know the unusual grain in Leopardwood will set the project I use them in a highly viewed aspect, when I combine them along with some of the other figured species of high quality wood - The whole project will be an "eye catcher", Leopardwood has such a cool grain pattern when used with mortise and tenon joinery, it makes the project come to life = Top Quaiity

I was really happy to see the Leopardwood squares were cut from kiln dried 8/4 lumber and not cut from green lumber and then K.D! I will order your squares again
