The Arizona woodworking scene came out in full force for “Game Night”. We were impressed by the 162 game-inspired project entries ranging from chess boards to shuffleboards on display. You all really brought your A-game.
That said, there can only be 1 winner, and we entrusted the public to cast their vote. With over 350 votes, there was a clear winner!
A big thank you to everyone who came out to the show. Showing off your work and bringing in some music, food, and drinks is our favorite way to celebrate you!
Every year the projects seem to get better and the show gets bigger. I hope to see you at the next one.

Robert won over the crowd incorporating a classic: Monopoly. Everything about this game board was executed to a T using walnut, myrtle, white oak, and expertly poured epoxy. The intricate puzzle piece design is the cake topper to tie everything together.
Bill takes a “what do I want to build and then I figure out how to do it“, and this box puts his problem-solving and technical skills on display. Using walnut, curly maple, hard maple, padauk, and lacewood, this project stood out from the competition.
After notching a win in our previous In The Kitchen contest, another top 3 finish is nothing to scoff at. Jason continues to impress with outside-the-box designs and wonderful attention to detail. Plus we’ll never complain about Baltic Birch plywood poker chips.
Combing through the projects there were so many impressive pieces that we had to give a shout-out to a few more projects that just missed the podium.
