I think the extreme creativity that you have shown in your notification is a good match for my own rampant personality. I've not yet had the time to do my relief, but the pieces look very nice!

A littlw disappointed
I was a little disappointed with the basswood. I used it for building a guitar and wanted to do a clear stain but the wood had a lot of color imperfections and water marks. Ended up having to paint it. Other than that it was good with no cracks or breaks. It was also easy to work with.

I have placed two orders, one for 8/4 cherry the second for 8/4 basswood. Both were delivered in a timely manner and the products were more than satisfactory. I have placed a 3rd order for 1/2" cherry and I expect this will also be of similar quality. Prices were competitive and when I called the company with questions they were both congenial and helpful.

Basswood order was a Great Experience
These guys took time to help guide me through my order (I'm a noobie) and when the wood showed up it was packaged properly and the grade was suburb.

Nice stock, but not best for 3D CNC
Order was prepared precisely to my specifications, packed very well, and arrived timely without damage. The stock was 95% clear throughout, and I had no trouble avoiding the imperfections. I use a CNC machine to 3D carve solid bodies (eg, models), and this was the first time using this species. Probably not best for this purpose. 1. It is a bit fibrous, clogging up the router vacuum. 2. It leaves a furry finished surface in some grain bands.

Delivered as described and as promised. A quality piece of wood. In future however I would opt for a slightly harder species with more pronounced grain. Easy to work with though.

Basswood for guitar body
I asked for a blemish free, 8/4 chunk of Basswood for a guitar body, and that's what I got. Dare I say, it was perfect. There was a slight delay in receiving the shipment because of the unusual parameters I requested, but Michael personally called me to discuss accommodating my requests. The wait was well worth it, and the customer service is unparalleled. Great company.

pizza peel
Basswood material for a pizza peel. The material was a very good clear piece, sized and milled as ordered.

The wood arrived as ordered, and is free of defects, with no warping. Better than other mail-order basswood.

Great Basswood Plank
Ordered this 6' X 8" 8/4 board while vacationiNg in Florida. It will eventually be a carved, gold leaf "weatherboard" for our home in Cape Cod. Very good quality, just what I orderEd and quick service.

Some internal stresses
Generally very good selection of boards by your staff. Internal stress is hard to spot without opening up the board. A couple of these boards bowed when I ripped them to 1-inch pieces (I build gallery picture frames with the basswood) but luckily I was able to use the badly bowed pieces for shorter segments, thus minimizing the bow. So aside from some difficulty milling the profiles, it all worked out okay. A little spalting too but not a problem.
