A robust, strong and good looking choice for furniture for sure. White oak has a consistent, creamy light tan color that's not quite found in any other wood. Stains very well, too, if you prefer. White oak is also one of the best domestic hardwoods for exterior/outdoor projects because it resists rot and decay so well.
